niman Posted May 12, 2016 Report Share Posted May 12, 2016 As of Thursday, May 12, 2016, VDH has reported 15 cases of Zika virus disease in Virginia residents to the CDC (2 in Northwest Region, 7 in Northern Region, 1 in Eastern Region, 3 in Central Region and 2 in Southwest Region). CDC has issued a travel alert (Level 2-Practice Enhanced Precautions) for people traveling to regions and certain countries where Zika virus transmission is ongoing.*Updated weekly.
