niman Posted August 4, 2016 Author Report Share Posted August 4, 2016 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed that a man and woman in Jackson County have the Zika virus. County health officials said the two contracted it while traveling through Central and South America. They returned from the region a couple of weeks ago and just received test results back. Sixteen cases of the Zika virus have been reported in Oregon in 2016 so far, with most of those cases involving travel to South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
