Bans On Poultry from Lauderdale Jackson and Madison Counties In Alabama

The detection of H7N9 in Lauderdale, Madison, and Jackson Counties in Alabama will lead to more bans as evidenced by a ban in Japan, which includes a map of the three exclusion zones.

Alabama - Poultry slaughtered on or after February 8, 2017, which originated from or passed through or is slaughtered/processed within the zone shown on the attached map is ineligible. Within that zone, poultry slaughtered and processed before February 8, 2017 is eligible. Poultry slaughtered on or after February 14, 2017, which originated from or passed through or is slaughtered/processed within the zones shown on the attached maps is ineligible. Within those zones, poultry slaughtered and processed before February 14 , 2017 is eligible.*
