The duck had been tagged earlier in the summer at Farmington Bay on the Great Salt Lake.McFarlane says it is the third waterfowl found with avian flu since December. The highly pathogenic strain found in the ducks can lead to outbreaks at chicken and turkey farms. But McFarlane says poultry farms in Utah have taken precautions to prevent that from happening.McFarlane cautions people to stay away from sick animals. She says people with backyard chickens should also be careful to shield their poultry from wild waterfowl.http://www.ksl.com/?sid=36426970&nid=148&fm=most_popular&s_cid=popular-9 Edited September 8, 2015 by niman
