**Over the Holidays we have experienced a significant decrease in reporting from major laboratories. Due to this, a larger proportion of the electronically-submitted PCR test results used to calculate COVID-19 test positivity rates are coming from healthcare facilities. Healthcare facilities primarily test symptomatic people, which will increase the positivity rate until the usual general population testing is reported fully again. We expect to see increased fluctuations in the positivity rate through the New Year’s holiday due to changes with laboratory schedules which impact testing and reporting.
