H5N1 HPAI Mixed Backyard Flock Southern Nova Scotia

On March 15, 2022, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) confirmed the presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza, subtype H5N1, in a non-commercial flock (non-avian detection) in southern New Scotland. This small farm produces neither birds nor eggs for sale.
