niman
At least 15 dead Canada geese have been found in and around Lower Lake in recent days and the cause of death is believed to be Avian influenza, said Zach Hillman, Cuyahoga County wildlife officer for the state Division of Wildlife. Hillman said he collected two dead birds on March 15 and had them sent to the U.S. Geological Survey National Wildlife Center for testing. He said it has not been confirmed that bird flu is the culprit, but that is the suspicion. He said he doesn’t think there is anything in the water or on land that would have killed the birds. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2022/03/avian-influenza-suspected-in-deaths-of-canada-geese-in-and-around-lower-lake-in-shaker-heights.html Edited April 4, 2022 by niman
