niman
In the 2016/2017 season H5N8 Clade 2.3.4.4 spread widely in Asia, Europe, and Africa. In the 2017/2018 season H5N6 with a Eurasian N6 was reported after a late appearance in 2016/2017 season in Europe. Now a HPAI H5N2 has been reported in western Russia, suggesting multiple clade 2.3.4.4 serotypes will be co-circulating in Europe and beyond in 2018.
