niman Posted October 4, 2022 Report Posted October 4, 2022 (edited) – The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) in conjunction with the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is announcing two confirmed cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI). This brings the total number of cases of HPAI in Nebraska to 11. The 10th farm, a commercial flock, is in York County. niman Posted October 4, 2022 Author Report Posted October 4, 2022 One case was found in a commercial flock in York County and affected more than 159,000 game birds, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. The other case was in a backyard chicken flock in Box Butte County with fewer than 100 birds.
