niman Posted October 7, 2022 Report Share Posted October 7, 2022 (edited) The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has confirmed the presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in a commercial broiler breeder chicken flock in Madison County, Arkansas. Madison County is in northwest Arkansas and is among the state’s top chicken-and-turkey production counties, with more than $250 million in annual sales.
