sgrondahl Posted January 27, 2020 Report Posted January 27, 2020 It sounds like Ontario Canada has a potential 12 cases, in isolation, that are being tested, according to Ont Par on YouTube.
sgrondahl Posted January 27, 2020 Report Posted January 27, 2020 Henry, how'd they get a rapid response test developed so quickly? I thought patient 1 was reported on, or around 31 DEC 2019.
niman Posted January 27, 2020 Author Report Posted January 27, 2020 Patient 1 showed symptoms on Dec 1. Partial sequence was described as novel coronavirus at end of December

You mentioned that the Chicago Sequence "has mixed signals at multiple positions, including orf 8 mutation, signalling dual infections and more recombination". So are you saying: The CDC claims no mutations in US sequences in the face of evidence that both have mutation in orf 8? I don't know what I'm looking at, but it is interesting to copy and paste the sequences into text-compare.com to see the highlighted differences between the sequences. Provides more grist for the Google mill.
