At around 14:00 today (January 31), the National Institute of Infectious Diseases reported a case of infectious disease associated with this new type of coronavirus.
This patient is a resident of Chiba Prefecture, and was reported to have had close contact with a patient with a new type of coronavirus infection when he visited a medical institution on January 29. It is.
It is the 13th case in Japan that the outbreak of patients with infectious diseases related to the new coronavirus was confirmed.
We will carry out proactive epidemiological investigations on this matter, including the identification of close contacts.

Cough and runny nose from around January 20.
A medical institution was consulted on January 29 due to a runny nose.
The health center conducted a survey on January 30 based on a contact survey from Nara Prefecture.
Visited a medical institution for sample collection on January 30.

(5) Action history:
January 16 I flew from Tokyo to Osaka.
Joined a tour (for Chinese) on January 17-22 as a bus guide. The bus driver confirmed the new coronavirus infection was on the same tour from the 18th to the 22nd.
January 22 Bus transfer from Osaka to Tokyo.
No overseas travel history within 2 weeks prior to the onset date (January 20).
He is currently asymptomatic and has not been hospitalized. He said he would wear a mask after the tour.
