niman Posted February 20, 2023 Report Share Posted February 20, 2023 OUTBREAK REFERENCE IA-LA ISLA SALTA-SILVESTRES-022023 START DATE 2023/02/16 END DATE - DETAILED CHARACTERISATION - FIRST ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION Salta SECOND ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION Cerrillos THIRD ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION - EPIDEMIOLOGICAL UNIT Backyard LOCATION LA ISLA, SALTA Latitude, Longitude -24.8678 , -65.3921 (Approximate location) OUTBREAKS IN CLUSTER - MEASURING UNIT Animal AFFECTED POPULATION DESCRIPTION The owner of the backyard poultry notified the local office in Salta of mortality in hens. Two birds were found dead, a rooster and a hen. There were also live duck and hens. The rest of the dead birds had been incinerated. No petechiae on the head, combs or wattles were observed. No cyanosis. Feathers in normal condition. They started lethargic and died in 24hs. No other detections in the surroundings.
