Cats were housed adjacent to HPAI positive domestic chickens (WOAH non-poultry premises). Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5, Eurasian lineage goose/Guangdong clade 2.3.4.4b was confirmed on swabs taken from both cats.
