About death of patient associated with cruise ship under quarantine at Yokohama Port

February 3 Yokohama Port Quarantine Quarantine started at anchorage.
February 5 Cruise ship returns to Yokohama.
February 9 PCR specimens were collected as a patient and transported to a medical institution. He was hospitalized under the Infectious Diseases Act. Pneumonia was confirmed by diagnostic imaging, and oxygen administration was started.
February 10 New coronavirus was found positive by PCR. The respiratory condition is bad, and artificial respiration management is started. The condition did not improve after treatment with pneumonia such as an antiviral agent.
February 25 Death confirmed.
