Maine CDC sends samples from presumptive positive tests to US CDC for confirmation. 3A preliminary presumptive positive result is when a patient tests positive at a non-governmental laboratory. The samples are sent to Maine's state lab for validation. 4This number represents negative tests from state, reference, or commerical laboratories, or at US CDC. 5This number represents the number of tests pending at Maine’s Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory.
