Sixteen people have died throughout the state. Meantime, NYPD officer has tested positive for COVID-19 and 17 colleagues are out sick in relation to the coronavirus, according to department officials. Tuesday, Mayor Bill de Blasio said New Yorkers should be prepared for the possibility of a shelter-in-place order to stem the spread of the virus. The number of confirmed cases in New York City is 923, and 10 people have died.
