The next update will be made on Thursday, March 3, 2016.Currently, neither of the mosquitoes that transmit Zika virus is found in Canada due to the climate. So, there is a very low probability of transmission in Canada. To date, there have been no reported cases of locally acquired Zika virus in Canada.Current evidence suggests that Zika virus is likely to persist and spread in the Americas and the South Pacific.
