Therefore the Secretariat wishes to clarify the following: 1 . The Secretariat is not the entity to confirm positive cases of the Zika virus in pregnant women. This responsibility is the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the National Institute of Health (NIH). 2. The child born with congenital malformation last week is one of the 4 cases of suspected pregnancies associated with the zika reported at the time that the virus Secretariat to INS.
