The New Mexico Department of Health announced on Monday that a second COVID-19 case with the B.1.1.7 variant was found in the state.

The woman is in her 30s, experiencing mild symptoms and will not require hospitalization, the state health department said.

Health department officials said the woman had close household contact with the first case that was announced on Wednesday.
