NC-CDC-STM-UNK646/2021 North Carolina NC-CDC-LC0010422/2021 1/26 North Carolina North Carolina has its first confirmed case of the B.1.351 coronavirus variant originally detected in South Africa. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services says the case was identified in an adult "in the central part of the state who had not recently traveled." Officials say no further information will be released due to privacy reasons.
