3,778 additional deaths in New York City, New York state. This increase is because New York City is now counting “probable” cases, in which a person has not been tested but the death certificate lists COVID-19 or an equivalent as a cause of death. Only deaths that occurred on or after March 11 are included. https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/doh/downloads/pdf/imm/covid-19-deaths-confirmed-probable-daily-04142020.pdf https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/doh/downloads/pdf/imm/covid-19-deaths-confirmed-probable-weekly-04142020.pdf
