  2. If he developed symptoms on Saturday, Why was he in quarantine on Friday?
  3. Is that separate from Wuhan or a continuation?
  4. COVID-19 cases in Utah up to 29 residents, 10 visitors Jacob Klopfenstein, KSL.com | Updated Mar 16th - 1:51pm Utah Department of Health officials on Monday said there are now 29 cases of the disease in Utah residents, with another 10 cases in visitors in the state.
  5. By Associated Press, Wire Service Content March 16, 2020, at 1:11 p.m. PHOENIX (AP) — THE number of coronavirus cases in Arizona has risen to 18, state health officials reported Monday. The Arizona Department of Health Services posted the new figure on it's website, up from 13 on Sunday. Several of the newly presumptive cases were found through testing from a commercial laboratory, not a state lab.
  6. Well, this didn't happen during the previous virus experiences. Thank you for keeping us all informed and being central to watching the virus developments. Are you set up at home?
  7. Are you working from home or do you have to go to the lab? Do you do actual lab work or is most of your work done through studies and interpretation? Thank you for sharing.
  8. California COVID Cases Increase To 247 Deaths to 5 When first reading a title that is stated like this, it can come across as 247 deaths.
  9. Thank you for your written notes on everything, especially the verbal presentations. I am deaf which prevents me from having in time information on anything that is presented orally without captions. With the virus related impact world wide, and especially the local developments, it is especially important to keep current as it happens. You are my trustworthy professional lifeline (again because, for me, it was you who held validity from 2006 to present), so thank you. Since I am OLD and vulnerable to this, I began sheltering in place last week -so -THANK YOU!!!
  10. What does that mean? Where was the contagion origination?
  11. Getting close to home for you. Be safe.
  12. What does this mean in Dr. Niman speak? We were watching for recombs in H1N1+++. Is this the same scenario? Dual infections Polybasic cleavage site
  13. Is there any way to know if the air circulation system would be a common factor?
  14. Is there a spreadsheet or chronology posted that shows: 1. The date the Bavarian company rep from China met with the employees of the German auto parts maker. 2. The dates and numbers of the first Bavarian contagions were detected. 3. The dates and numbers of the infections that resulted from direct contact with the first Bavarian contagions. So far this seems to be the most likely scenario for determining the contagion and virulence at this point. The infector, infectees, and dates can be precisely defined if the reporting is accurate.
  15. Mutations and/or recombining? Confusing... especially when remembering the bird/swine flu.
  16. What does that mean? orf 8....virulence, contagion, high CFR, one step away from pandemic?
  17. A statement on the CIDRAP website says there are two noro cases. The first was the ASU student from Wuhan. Who is the second? Messonnier said 167 specimens have tested negative, and the CDC is awaiting the results of another 82 suspected cases. California has six confirmed cases, Arizona and Illinois both have two cases, and Washington state and Massachusetts each have a single confirmed case.
  18. Do you know what the CFR is of the 425?
  19. Are these posts your advice relative to the conference information or are the posts sharing the CDC conference statements?
  20. In layman's terms. There is rate of communicability and and the effect of the virus - recover or not. Is there something specific to watch for in the sequences or evolvement that would give definitive information that the virus has reached the tipping point, or does the lay observer just watch for the statistics to speak. Thank you.
  21. With the rapid evolving in many directions, what is the likelihood of a second recombination along with the orf-8? And is there a quasi-predictable timeframe?
  22. That seems inconsistent with a virus that can be contagious for up to 14 days prior to showing symptoms.
  23. Do you agree with that? There were previous statements that said it would survive for two weeks.
